Unpanel II: Race Talk

Unpanel II: Race Talk, the last public program connected to SKIN is designed by artists Holly Tempo and Dorit Cypis to primarily engage college age art students from art departments across Los Angeles County in dialogue on race issues active in their daily lives. Many of the artists participating in SKIN teach at local art colleges and university departments, which presents an opportunity for local schools to become pro-active with us in promoting discussion on race that affects their campuses.

Core to the form of Unpanel will be multiple dialogue-circles facilitated by 6 artists participating in SKIN and students they are currently teaching. Dorit Cypis, who is also a professional mediator, will train the lead artists and students in Dialogue Facilitation skills allowing for wider and deeper expression by participants on a topic that absolutely must be addressed.

Saturday, April 9 at 2 PM - 5 PM

Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery
